What is the HPCF?

The High Point Community Foundation is a funded and directed endowment that provides services to donors, not-for-profit agencies, and the general community by “serving the donor’s interests and the community’s needs.” This is accomplished by building a permanent base of philanthropic funds to serve as a vehicle to meet the specific charitable objectives of individuals, organizations and institutions for the betterment of the Greater High Point Community.

Charitable investments are made in the areas of health, human services, social justice, youth development, diversity issues, education, aid to the economically disadvantaged, and the arts. The Foundation relies heavily upon the collective experience and knowledge of it’s Board of Trustees to identify and respond to current and future needs that will directly affect the quality of life of all members of our community.

Through charitable investment grants, the Foundation helps organizations pursue ideas that can have significant impact upon the community.

Grants are made from both discretionary funds as well as funds established by individuals and families to benefit named purposes and organizations.

The Foundation does not conduct annual solicitation campaigns. It attempts to match individual donor’s interests to unmet community needs.

The High Point Community Foundation…For good, forever…
