What is the HPCF?

The High Point Community Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to strengthening the community for both present and future generations. The Community Foundation promotes philanthropy, builds and maintains a permanent collection of endowment funds, and serves as a trustworthy partner and leader in shaping effective responses to community issues and opportunities.

The Greater High Point area has a limited base of charitable capital. Giving from all sources - corporate, foundation, and individual - must grow if our community is to meet the challenges of the future. Private philanthropy can make a crucial difference in sustaining and enriching the quality of life, and making our community an even better place to live. Because it works with and cooperates with all nonprofit organizations, the High Point Community Foundation enables donors to accomplish charitable objectives that they would find difficult or impossible to achieve if they had to act alone.
