We couldn’t do what we do without the tireless efforts of our board members and the committees they run. Below are the various committees of the High Point Community Foundation and the functions they serve to better our community and organization.
The Executive Committee will have the authority to act on behalf of the board in situations where the board is unable to convene to act. Responsible for all issues pertaining to the staff of the High Point Community Foundation.
Responsible for reviewing, recommending and evaluating all annual grants made by the foundation. This committee acts on grants made from the unrestricted endowment of the High Point Community Foundation as well as field of interest and special interest funds overseen by the Grants Committee.
Responsible for periodic review of the operating policies and procedures of the Foundation and for making recommendations for any changes to the Board of Trustees. This committee will be responsible for any corporate annual reports and such other matters of corporate operation and compliance as the board may request. Also responsible for nominating persons to serve as members of the Board of Trustees and the Advisory Board, and for recommending to the chairman of the board non-board members to serve as needed on various committees.
Provides guidance and assistance in policy and procedures of the foundation’s finances. Acts as a review board for the annual budget.
Responsible for establishing policy and overseeing the management of the investment of all funds at the Foundation.
Responsible for publicizing the activities of the Foundation, recruiting donors to support the Foundation, and interacting with other organizations, endowments and foundations to promote the growth of the Foundation and its asset base.
The Marketing Committee will be responsible for developing and maintaining a formal marketing/public relations plan and branding strategy for the Foundation. This committee will oversee the Foundation’s website and social media presence and assist with all forms of Foundation publications.
