Making gifts from your IRA
If you are age 70 ½ or older you can make a tax-free gift up to $100,000 from your IRA to the Foundation to support a variety of causes.
Benefits of IRA Rollover Gifts:
• By using pre-tax IRA assets, your charitable gift costs you less.
• The IRA Charitable Rollover is not subject to income taxes.
• The amount of your IRA Charitable Rollover can be used to meet your annual required minimum distribution, lowering your taxable income for the year.
IRA Charitable Rollover Giving Options:
Community Impact Fund – This fund is used for our Annual Grants Program. A gift to this fund can help us increase what we are able to grant each year.
Women in Motion Fund – This fund will be used to support women in the community who need help taking the next step in life.
Principals’ Fund – This fund is used to provide support for student needs that are not covered in the budgets of public schools in High Point.
Say Yes Guilford – This fund is used to provide scholarships to students from Guilford County Schools.
Heart of High Point Fund – This fund is used to provide emergency needs to organizations who provide food, shelter, medical care and rehabilitation to those in need.
Howard Coble Scholarship Fund – This fund is used to provide an annual scholarship to a deserving student from one of the 14 counties Congressman Coble served.
**IRA Charitable Rollovers may not be used to support donor advised funds.
